Cancun Spring Break – a phrase that conjures images of sun-kissed beaches, endless parties, and unforgettable memories. Nothing could've prepared me for the wild world of Cancun Spring Break with Awake Tours, where every day is an adventure & every night a party. Okay, let's start with the real talk. I thought Cancun Spring Break would be a beachy cliché with a dash of tequila here and there. Little did I know that with Awake Tours - it was going to be an absolute belter! I expected your typical parties, but what I got was a non-stop fiesta from sunrise to sunset (and beyond).

One of the things that set Awake Tours apart was the VIP treatment. From Coco Bongo to Mandala Beach, they made us feel like Spring Break royalty - we got to skip the lines & get the best seats in the house no matter where we went. Not to mention private transfers to everything ( this may seem irrelevant now but uber doesn't work in parts of Cancun and taxis or SO expensive and not really available - so it was the bessssst to have a private chauffeur all day every day; when everyone else had to wait for and catch the local bus!)
Something we learnt pretty quickly while being on tour is that with Cancun you need to do the right parties on the right days - each day has its thing, each venue is only good on a certain day & there are actually only 2 weeks out of the 3 spring break months which are the BEST. There are only 2 main weeks where the best dj's come so thank goodness Awake had organised all of this for us, I had mates who went at a different time & their trip had no special events or acts.
The Weekly Low Down- What we did & where we went
Day 1: Coco Bongo Cancun + Bar Tab
The adventure begins with a bang as Awake Tours kicks off the trip with a visit to the iconic Coco Bongo Cancun. Forget everything you thought you knew about nightlife – Coco Bongo is an experience in itself. A mind-blowing fusion of music, acrobatics, and confetti showers, this place is the epitome of a party haven.
The night starts with an energy-packed lineup of performances, featuring impersonators of your favorite celebrities, high-flying acrobatics, and beats that will have you dancing until the early hours. Day 2: Mandala Beach Day + VIP Table at the #1 Spring Break Party

Day 3: Isla Mujeres & Private Catamaran
Awake Tours takes the adventure offshore on Day 3 with a trip to the picturesque Isla Mujeres. But this isn't your typical island getaway – this is a private catamaran experience. Sail across the turquoise waters, feel the sea breeze on your face, and let the tropical vibes wash over you. Upon reaching Isla Mujeres, it's time to kick things up a notch by riding buggies around the island. These zippy little vehicles add a whole new dimension to exploring the island. From pristine beaches to hidden gems, Isla Mujeres becomes your personal playground. We hung out at the beach club & took a look at all the old school colourful buildings. Isla Mujeres was one of my favourite places from my whole Meico trip.
Day 4: Senor Frogs + Mandala Beach Night Party
Senor Frogs – a name synonymous with fun. Dive into a world of lively music, delicious food, and drinks that never seem to end. We had a 3 course meal here, danced on stage, joined drinking competitions & did the congo ( while tequila was being poured into our mouth aha )
Next up we were back at Mandala Beach but for a night show that combines the beauty of the beach with the excitement of live entertainment & a headlining DJ. All-inclusive drinks complete the experience + VIP tabled, making this night a perfect example of why Cancun Spring Break with Awake Tours is a cut above the rest. Mandala Beach Night was epic!
Day 5: The Parties at the Resort – Foam Party, Holi Party, or Jungle Party
As the trip nears its end, Awake Tours saves the best for last – a series of epic parties right at the Grand Oasis All-Inclusive Resort. There are 3 famous parties here - The Foam Party, Holi Party, and Fun Jungle Party. When we stayed here our party was the foam party! It was hektik, there was an MC, competitions and lots and lotsss of foam! There are thousands of Spring Breakers here from all over the world; this place is absolutely nuts!
