What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? Well, not this time! I'm here to spill the beans on the most epic week of my life as I joined Awake Tours for a whirlwind adventure in the entertainment capital of the world. If you're ready for a rollercoaster of a good time, read on, because this is one party you don't want to miss.
First Things First
Before we dive into the glitzy world of Las Vegas and Awake Tours, I need to confess: I wasn't entirely sure what I was signing up for. A whole week of partying in Sin City as a VIP? It sounded too good to be true. But as they say, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, so I packed my bags, left my doubts behind, and embarked on the adventure of a lifetime.
Vegas, Baby!
Upon arriving in Las Vegas, I was greeted with a wave of excitement, neon lights, and the unmistakable sound of slot machines chiming in the background. Our Awake Tours experience kicked off with a bang and we quickly discovered that "VIP" here meant we could skip those never-ending lines, get into the hottest clubs and party like there was no tomorrow.
The VIP Treatment
One of the things that truly sets Awake Tours apart is the VIP treatment. In Las Vegas, where lines are typically longer than the list of things to do, being a VIP is an absolute game-changer. You NEED it otherwise you’ll walk away never wanting to return to this amazing town. We breezed past lines at all events - No waiting, just pure partying. Our guide told us the lines here can get up to 3 hours long & they can still reject you if your don't have the right male to female ratio with you!
Everything Included
One of the biggest perks of the Awake Tours experience was having everything included. From accommodations and transportation to tickets & club entries we didn't have to worry about a thing. This allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience and make the most of our time in Vegas.
What to Pack
Now, let's talk packing. Las Vegas is all about looking your best, but don't forget the essentials:
- Swimwear: For pool parties and day clubs.
- Glamorous Outfits: You'll want to dress to impress for the Vegas nightlife. Vegas can be super strict with outfits so make sure you have some nice shoes to go out in. Also, no team sports jerseys are allowed for any events! Good to know! Dress really nicely when you go out in Vegas as most events here want to be seen as the ‘ place to be’ so just dress well & you won't have any issues. (some places will reject you if you don't look 'the part')
- Comfortable Shoes: For EDC!!! The amount you walk here is craaaazy.
- Sunscreen: Protect your skin from the desert sun if you’re prone to burn.
- Charger and Portable Power Bank: Your phone will be your lifeline for meeting up with the group. You'll need a USA adapter.
- Festival Outfits: EDC is THE one festival where you can dress up A LOTTTT, go all out – you won’t regret it!
Budgeting For Vegas
Before you set out on a week of non-stop partying in Vegas, it's essential to plan your budget. While many things are included with Awake Tours, you'll still want to have some cash on hand for personal expenses, extra food, and any other activities you might want to explore. Setting aside a few hundred dollars a day should do the trick.
What We Did
I never thought I'd have the chance to experience Las Vegas in this way. The glitz, the glamour and the VIP treatment were beyond my wildest dreams. When Awake says Group Party Tour – they mean it!
There are so many things to do in Las Vegas – you have Las Vegas Nightlife, Las Vegas Casinos, Las Vegas Shows, Las Vegas Attractions, The strip has some of the best restaurants in Las Vegas & of course, just the Las Vegas Hotels themselves are a spectacle ( every hotel is like a new world waiting to be explored - shows, events, nightclubs, theme parks - you name it) Awake Tours gave us a week that gave us an insight to how to do Vegas properly.
Day 1: Limo Adventures
Our first night was all about making a grand entrance. We hopped into a sleek limousine bus that took us on a tour of iconic Vegas spots. This included a stop at the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign, witnessing the mesmerizing Fountains of Bellagio, and strolling through the historic streets of Old Vegas and the electric Fremont Street Experience ( so different and quirky down here). There were Elvis impersonators left, right & centre, so many bright lights and screens promoting the best dj's around the world and the party bus was so fun - our tour guide ran up and down the middle making everyone drink - it was a wild night and it was the perfect introduction to the glitz and glamour of the city.
Day 2: Penthouse Party
Day two was when things really started heating up. We were treated to a penthouse party at the MGM Grand, and it was nothing short of spectacular. With jaw-dropping views of the Las Vegas Strip, we sipped on drinks and got to know our family. The penthouse was 2 storeys. First, we had to go in a special elevator to get there & then walk down a large hall. I had seen videos of the penthouse before but when the large door first opened I have to admit my jaw dropped. It was super cool up there, you could see the whole Vegas strip. We played beer pong, celebrated a few birthdays + birthday cake, took the coolest photos ever and just had a really, really fun night with epic music. A few of us went out to Martix Garrix at Omnia after, which was nothing short of goddam amazing.
Days 3 and 4: Poolside Paradise VIP Cabana
The next two days were my favourite by far!!! We attended 2 EDC Las Vegas exclusive pool parties at 2 amazing venues, complete with VIP tables, bottle service, and incredible music. The pool scenes in Vegas are legendary, and being able to experience them like a true VIP was a game-changer. The Pool Parties were my favourite part of this VIP party experience. We had drinks included, didn't have to wait in line, and had so much space to sit / move / chill / party.
We went to Marquee Vegas first where Dom Dolla & John Summit were playing! We had beds all around the pool which was so good due to the fact it was so goddam hot aha. Our second pool party - we were literally on stage with the artists, got to meet the artists & used the artist bathrooms. The BassRush pool party blew my mind & I got to meet one of my favourite Drum & Bass Artists of all time ( just casually in the bathroom ahah )
Day 5,6,7,8 & 9 - The Grand Finale: EDC Music Festival
As if everything so far wasn't enough, the final four days of our adventure took us to the world-renowned Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) music festival. We danced under the electric sky and my god it was so much better than I expected!! The EDC Las Vegas Lineup is always so, so good! We also got our own private party bus to the festival every day so we didn’t have to worry about the EDC Shuttle services and could pre-drink on the bus ( and it had a toilet which was a huge plus.) Sometimes it can take up to 3 hours to get to EDC due to the traffic. Awake planned it really well so we got the very best of every situation. They’ve done this many times so they know what’s best.
On day 8 of tour I was so exhausted but so accomplished - never in my wildest dreams could I of prepared myself for what that week was! I slept from the moment I got home ( 8am aha ) until 2pm. then we all met up for a final dinner. I was so tired but so happyyyy, Day 9 we said our goodbyes and sadly had to go our seperate ways :(
Vegas: The Way it's Meant to Be!
My week in Las Vegas with Awake Tours was nothing short of incredible. From the moment I landed in the city that never sleeps to the final beats of EDC, I was living my best life.
